Call 9-1-ONE Jake's First Birthday
Jake's dad is a fireman so the perfect theme for his first birthday was 9-1-ONE. We used traditional red/black/white and yellow for the color scheme and added white with small black dots for the background.
The snack table turned out so adorable! I made a polka dotted backdrop and hung fabric garland across the top. I love how the metal buckets and ONE helped give it a rustic look
My favorite snack were the "candy matches". I used potato sticks dipped in red chocolate. Real matchbooks were decorated to hold the matches.
We also had water (sour gummy strips), red hot coals (red hots), fireman poles(pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate), stop, drop and tootsie rolls, and lifesavers.
A new bakery, Cherry On Top Delights, recently opened and they did an amazing job on Jake's cake. I mean that dalmation on top is just the cutest. It was perfect!
My favorite touch was having the guests write a note to Jake in the book "Big Frank's Fire Truck".
We decorated the tables with black and white polka dotted fabric, used toy fire trucks for the centerpieces and pots of flowers.
The guests placed their gifts for Jake in a decorated basket.
The birthday boy!
