Luau Party
I'm so excited to help my friend Mechelle plan her daughter's 13th Birthday with a Luau Theme. They moved to Hilton Head a few years ago so I am shipping everything off with her parents. See all the pictures below:
She wanted a pink and turquoise color scheme and to keep it very girly. I made this background board for only $4.00! I bought the scrap wood from Home depot, nailed them together then painted with some old paint I had.
This is my first attempt making balloon garland and I can't believe how easy it was! Just blow up two balloons, tie the ends together then hot glue the remaining balloons in a row. All the empty spaces are filled with flowers hot glued in. Easy peasy!
I had so much fun with the snacks! Green Twizzlers made some seaweed, pretzel stick rods dipped in blue chocolate with some goldfish and white pearls were super easy, and the oysters are just vanilla waffers, pink frosting, and another pearl!
The chocolate seashells are made from melted chocolate in shell molds.
Gummy lifesaver pool floaties and some Whoppers made coconuts. Pretzels and goldfish in a bowl were driftwood and fish.
The Beverage Station is some blue gatorade. I decorated glasses from the dollar store with craft paper and flowers.
