Pool Party and Outdoor Movie
We've had so much rain lately I was a little worried about these outdoor pool parties but mother nature cooperated beautifully!
This past Saturday, I styled two parties. They were same ages (13), same theme (outdoor pool and movie party), and same color schemes. I'm combining the pictures below since they were so similar.
Dining Table:
For Caytie Anne and Caroline's party we set up a long dining table for 15. I used flamingos and flowers as the center pieces.
We had pink chargers, with white and blue plates. Then I made silverware pockets from bags I found at Hobby Lobby. Then I added a scalloped image of flip flops to the top and we were good to go.
We also added some flamingo stickers to the cups and added a scalloped circle to the tops to keep the bugs out.
Snack Table:
For pool snacks we had oceans (rice krispy treats dipped in chocolate), pool noodles, floaties, chips, fish, fruit with umbrellas, and some pretzels.
Cakes and Cupcakes:
We had some unlucky 13 events. The topper didn't get picked up with the cake so I had to make one with melted chocolate. It broke several times so we had to keep "gluing" it back together. But in the end it was a beautiful flamingo cake. The cupcakes were amazing as well!
Favors:
The girls went home with a personalized pool bag that we added vinyl flamingos and names to.
They also got a sunscreen bottle so they didn't get burned during the party.
These baskets are filled with a flamingo drink coozie, beach ball, sunscreen, and pop rocks.
Pool Floats: We added a bunch of beach balls to the pool for added decoration and pool games.
Concession Stand:
During movie time the girls could visit the concession stand and pick their favorite movie time treat.
Popcorn Bar: And what movie wouldn't be complete without a popcorn station?
