Teacher Gift Card Holders How To
There are (eek!) 8 school days left here in Atlanta so it's scramble time to get Teacher gifts made. As a teacher for 10 years I can say what most teachers want is a gift card! So why not package them extra cute? Here is a step by step guide to make a gift card holder your teachers are sure to enjoy receiving! The best news is you can find all the materials you need to make it at Michaels!

You will need:
1. Sentiment download: Change your printed settings to 4x6"

2. Red paper
3. Green patterned paper (or any festive paper)
4. ABC Paper
5. ruler tape (I found this in Michaels where the duct tape is)
6. glue dot roller and/or glue
7. apple sticker
8. paper clip
9. red and yellow ribbon
10. paper cutter or ruler
11. scissors
Step 1: Once you have printed out the sentiment hand cut or use a tag punch to punch out the "From" at the bottom. Trim the excess off the sentiment (I just eyeball it leaving a bit of white at the bottom.
Punch a small hole in the "From" tag
Step 2: Cut the red paper to 9 1/2 by 4 inches and cut your green patterned paper to 9 1/4 by 3 3/4 inches.
Step 3: Cut a smaller red piece of paper to 3 1/4 by 2 3/4 inches. Cut the ABC paper to 3 by 2 1/2 inches.
Step 4: attach the pieces together. Using a glue dot roller works the best!
Step 5: cut a 1/2 circle in the top of the ABC paper. I used a 1 3/4 inch circle punch but any size will work. Place the cardstock halfway in the punch to get a 1/2 circle.
Step 6: Cut a small piece of red ribbon and tie it around the From Tag. THIS IS IMPORTANT: Glue the sides and bottom of the ABC paper. DO NOT GLUE THE TOP. The gift card won't slide in! Attach the From tag to the card with a drop of glue.
Step 7: Adhere the sentiment to the top of the card. I trim 1/8" off both sides so it fits evenly on top of the green sheet.
Step 8: Attach an apple sticker to the bottom of the sentiment and a piece of ruler tape across the middle (trim the excess off sides or fold over).
Step 9: Tie a piece of yellow ribbon to the top of a paper clip and attach to the top of the card. Then insert a gift card into the slot of the ABC card.
