4th of July Party

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! It's all about food, family, fireworks and fun! Is there a better combination? This year the day will be even better because my nieces are coming to stay for a few days.

I am getting prepared early for our celebration this year. We will have a cookout at the house then head to the local country club to see the fireworks.

For the table set up I am using some star placemats I've had for years and using some metal stars for the centerpieces.

These fabric garland banners are so easy to make. You can either cut up old clothing in coordinating colors or get 1/4 of a yard from your local fabric store. Cut the fabric into strips then tie around a piece of string.

I cut up some jeans that I've been holding out hope would fit me again. But let's be real. If they still don't fit 10 years later there is little hope they ever will! After I cut out the pockets I painted white lines on each one. Then I added some stickers I found at Target, a red bandanna from the Dollar Tree for a napkin, and some silverware.

What would the 4th be without a red drink. These red Cherry Limeades were from World Market and taste delicious too!

These cupcakes look fancy and complicated but couldn't be easier. I went to Kroger and bought already frosted, white cupcakes. I melted red, white and blue chocolate then put them in pastry bags. I created squiggly lines and dots then let them harden. Once they were ready I placed them all around the cupcake. Voila! you have firework cupcake that looks like it came from a bakery!

The kids' will also get Firework Fun Kits to play with. I found almost everything at the Dollar Tree! They include: sparklers, pop-its, glow sticks, peppermints, cracker jacks and bubbles!

The "Let The Sparks Fly" tag is available for a free download. Just go to the download tab and click on it.

The kids will be able to Snap, Crackle, and Pop with this set up of poppers, sparklers, and bubbles.

Can't wait to celebrate!
