Kitten Adoption Party
Charlotte loves kittens so her mom asked me to help style a "Kitten Adoption Party" for her 10th birthday.
Since I'm obsessed with pink and turquoise I was elated when the birthday girl requested them. They had already purchased the cutest plates that had a kitten wearing glasses so I planned around them.
Each girl adopted the softest little white kitten to take home.
I made party hats for each kitten with a ribbon top and attached little blue flowers on each one. Their collars were made with ribbon and a scallop tag made from punches.
The snack table said it all...Let's Pawty!
I made a banner with paper from Hobby Lobby and little yarn balls for garland. To make the garland, I covered styrofoam balls with yarn and threaded with a string.
My favorite snack were the yarn balls. They are donut holes covered with melted chocolate! I dipped each donut into the chocolate then used a piping bag filled with more chocolate to create the string effect.
What cat party wouldn't be complete without some fish snacks? I love the added touch of a bell on the ribbon closure!
These mice were not only cute but delicious too! They were made with laughing cow cheese wedges, almond ears, sprinkle eyes and nose, and a string cheese tail all on top of a ritz cracker.
How cute are these kitten sandwiches? PB&J with pretzel whiskers and a candy heart nose!
Some popcorn was served in little kitten containers.
The amazing Lisa Page made the adorable kitten fondant topper for the cake (which matched the plate purr-fectly. I added a paper banner as well.
Each guest also received kitten ears on a headband to take home.
The girls also decorated cardboard kitten houses using paper, gems, beads, ribbon and markers.
It was a purr-fect party and the girls had the best time!
